Matt made the decision to get involved with real estate investing in 2004 and began purchasing single family homes for long term appreciation. It became clear after the purchase of his third property that finding good tenants was a challenge.
As Matt puts it, when managing real estate investments isn’t done right, “passive income from rental property is not passive at all.”
Matt interviewed several property management companies and eventually began working part time as a leasing agent to learn the business. A few months later Matt quit his corporate position with a national advertising company to become a full time leasing agent and real estate investor.
Matt has helped many home owners and investors with an alternative to selling their homes in a tough market. Part of his success stems from his belief that when placing tenants he will “only place tenants that I would place in my own properties.”
